Sugar & Spice is a genuine and original American pastry shop that wishes to offer a valid alternative in American patisserie for the Florentine community and its surrounding area.

It all began when in 1993 when mamma Marsha, originally from New York, decided to open her first bakery in Via Fabroni with the idea of offering something different from the Florentine  style bakeries. We found a niche in children's cakes with over 65 different cake pans including characters from Disney, Mattel etc. to choose from. We also are glad to have introduced the original New York - style cheesecake along with many other American specialties.

Sugar & Spice, a sweet-tooth paradise, is run by daughter Saskia. This store, located in the center of the city, is also a take-out giving clients the possibility to buy single portion's or just a slice of cake at a time, with American coffee to go.

The American - style wedding cakes, were created with the intent of offering cakes that look pretty and are unique, taste fabulous and are of  the best quality. This holds true for the rest of our products as well.

Since we weren't happy with just offering great cakes we also have added a selection of small gift items that can be packaged with our bakery specialties such as brownies, cookies etc. which change with the season. We love to be different!
